Bird Strike goes OpenFeint Gold with free update

Hope you grabbed the fowl-catapulting Bird Strike when it was given away for free last week. New Zealand developers PikPok have hiked the price back up and updated the game with a massive 'Gold Edition' patch.
It's the latest game to hit OpenFeint's Gold programme, which picks out the highest quality games on the App Store and gives them the royal treatment of extensive marketing and competitions. Previous Gold games include Fieldrunners and Jet Car Stunts.
The update includes five new levels, brand new power-ups, a Puzzle mode, and the ability to challenge friends through OpenFeint.
If you didn't grab it for free, fear not. Bird Strike is available now for iPhone and iPod touch for a scant 59p or 99c. Current Bird Strike owners can download the Gold Edition features now, for free.
