Star Wars is a franchise that’s been around for quite some time - and we’ve seen a lot of games take place in the Star Wars universe. You’ve got Lego Star Wars, pinball games related to Star Wars, games where you can play along with the story itself or games where you can put yourself into the Star Wars universe and see how you’d fit in among the likes of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

We've got everything here from grand RPGS through to some of the most memorable licensing deals in all of gaming history. While Star Wars certainly hasn't seen the deluge of games on mobile that it saw on PC and Console over recent years, some of the classics are right here and, hopefully, there are more to come over the next few years. Oh, and, of course, don't forget that we've not included games that you can play via streaming apps - of which there are plenty. If you add that into the mix then there's more than enough ways to get your Star Wars kick.

If you aren’t aware of the franchise already, this Star Wars games list is probably not for you. But if you are a fan of the Star Wars franchise and are looking for the best Star Wars games on Android, you’ve come to the right place.

Let’s get into the list.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

In Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you can find yourself playing as a bunch of the iconic heroes from the movie - Finn, Han Solo, C-3PO and more, the choice is yours! You will be making your way through the story, which has been given a Lego-inspired twist. As you battle enemies or explore the world, you are shown lots of lego-versions of the world, and can actually create Lego builds to solve puzzles or play around with. It’s a fun take on the franchise.

4
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Developer: BioWare
Publisher: Aspyr
Available on: iOS + Android + Steam
Genre: Action, RPG
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Though this is an older Star Wars title, Knights of the Old Republic has a massive following - primarily through the ability to customise your own Jedi or Sith, who you can then play as in the game. This game takes place 4,000 years before the formation of the Galactic Empire, where you can venture to different planets and attempt to defeat Malak.

The customisation options are the real star here - if you want something that really makes you feel like you are in the Star Wars iOS game on your iPhone or iPad, this is one to take a look at.

5
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Developer: Traveller's Tales
Publisher: LucasArts
Available on: iOS + Android + DS + Steam
Genre: Action, Film/TV tie-in, Shooter
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Though the title The Complete Saga might be misleading, as the franchise has grown and continued since the release of this game, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is still well worth a place on your Android device. This game is funny, simple, and has a lot of great action bits that are also family-friendly if you have little ones interested in the series. You can play through all six of the movies, changing characters, making Lego buildings, and playing around in a slightly goofier version of the Star Wars Universe.
