Astraware Casino bets on smartphone gamblers
It's not real money, but it looks real fun
Astraware has announced its latest smartphone game: Astraware Casino. It's a collection of eight gambling games, including Texas Hold 'em Limit poker, roulette, slots and blackjack.
The game is coming out for Palm OS and Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs, and will see you sharing a virtual wallet between all the games – thus making it possible to win shedloads of dosh in the games you're good at, to give yourself scope to learn the ones where you're a newbie.
Astraware promises plenty of depth, too, since you'll unlock higher stake tables and games as you go along, enabling you to become a true high roller (or a truly destitute loser). There's also a bank which will lend you cash if you're short, or store your millions for safekeeping.
Oh, and there's an in-game achievements system, providing those all-important regular rewards to keep you playing. Astraware Casino is out now and there's a demo version available on the publisher's website.
Meanwhile, Astraware has also released a seasonal edition of its Astraware Solitaire game. Called Astraware Solitaire Winter Edition, it's free for registered users of the old version, although newcomers can buy it and use their registration code in the main game, too.
