Ubisoft and 20th Century Fox reveal Assassin's Creed movie trailer
Fassassin's Creed

Several years in the making, Ubisoft and 20th Century Fox finally showed off the first trailer for Assassin's Creed the movie on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.
It's a busy year for game-to-film adaptations with Ratchet & Clank already in cinemas, Angry Birds: The Movie hitting tomorrow, Warcraft: The Beginning coming at the end of the month, and Asassin's Creed releasing on December 21st.
The music in the trailer is questionable and some of the dialogue leaves a bit to be desired, but the cinematography looks quite spectacular.
The story is centered around Callum Lynch who is subject to the Animus experiment. He goes back in time to 15th Century Spain to experience the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar so he can unlock secrets in the present.
With all the leaping around, thick, face-covering hoods, and athletic combat, it's definitely an Assassin's Creed movie, and it has enough budget and starpower behind it that it might just be alright.
While a big budget console release has been skipped this year, we recently had Assasin's Creed: Identity on mobile and quite liked it. So, there's definitely hope.

Assassin's Creed stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons and releases December 21st 2016.
