If you're a fan of Asphalt Legends Unite and Sega's amazing lineup of franchises, then you may be in luck. That's because the iconic blue rodent himself, and a roster of friends and foes, are making an appearance for an exclusive limited-time collaboration event in Asphalt Legends Unite.
From May 29th to June 26th, you can take on the exclusive new Collector mode, which sees you racing around the track to collect the iconic golden rings from Sonic the Hedgehog. You'll even be treated to the jazzy, funky soundtrack of the Sonic franchise to enjoy as you play.
As for Sonic and friends, don't fret if you're worried they might appear in cartoon form. Instead, you'll be able to unlock exclusive vehicle decals by trading in the aforementioned golden rings, with Sonic himself gracing the SSC Ultimate Aero TT in stylish fashion.
Not only that, but you'll be able to put your skills on the race course to the test with the newly introduced Boss mode. Each of the cars sporting the Sonic-themed decals will be available to compete against, with each successive boss increasing in difficulty as you beat them.
Suffice to say, it's a pretty fitting crossover for Gameloft's hit racer to meet an equally speed-obsessed hedgehog. And even for fans who don't like gaudy cartoon additions, I think that the decals that are available are on the right side of being tasteful and realistic enough to fit into the overall aesthetic of Asphalt Legends Unite.
