Free Fire’s Street Fighter V collab event launches today with time-limited cosmetics and an Air Force Base-themed lobby

Free Fire fans have been eagerly awaiting the official release of the Free Fire x Street Fighter V collab event for a while now, but the wait is finally over. Ryu and Chun-Li have finally arrived onto the free-for-all arena of Garena’s popular survival shooter, so Survivors can now unleash powerful Hadoukens on unwitting foes in the field.

Free Fighter, Garena Free Fire’s Street Fighter V global collaboration, lets you play as Chun-Li and Ryu in a time-limited event along with a host of other exclusive themed content. The collab also adds item reskins and a special iconic event interface that fans of Capcom’s world-renowned fighting game will instantly recognize.

Apart from learning Ryu’s spirit energy signature move as an emote, Survivors can prep in a classic Street Fighter lobby before duking it out. Throughout the duration of the event, the game’s main lobby will be transformed into the iconic Air Force Base background reminiscent of a stage from the hit fighting game.

There will also be themed cosmetics that let players fight in style. This includes Ryu’s outfit, as well as Chun-Li's classic costume complete with her blue qipao and spiked bracelets (plus a Chun-Li-inspired Gloo Wall skin). Players will also be able to hurl a Hadouken grenade and wield an AWM gun skin on the field.

You can join the event festivities by downloading the battle royale title on the App Store and on Google Play. Free Fire is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. You can also check out the embedded teaser clip above to get a feel of the collab’s vibes.
