The Witcher: Monster Slayer lets you hunt monsters in Augmented Reality, coming to iOS and Android on July 21st

Spokko from CD PROJEKT has just announced the official release date of The Witcher: Monster Slayer, and it’s way closer than you might think. On July 21st, players can get started on The Path as the location-based Augmented Reality title lands on iOS and Android devices, with pre-registration now open on Google Play.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer takes players through the dark fantasy world of the popular IP long before Geralt of Rivia made a name for himself as the White Wolf. The free-to-play RPG thrusts you into a dangerous land filled with bloodthirsty monsters, and it’s up to you to contain the horrors freely roaming across the Continent.

Aside from tracking down monsters (using real-time weather conditions) and collecting trophies with each kill, players will also be able to embark on quests by accepting contracts from NPCs who need a helping hand. Of course, the thrill of the hunt is the meticulous preparation for battle, as you brew potions and learn the habits of your prey to equip the best gear for the job.

Android users will be delighted to know that they can now answer the call of The Path by pre-registering for the AR game on Google Play. Those who sign up will be rewarded with the Kaer Morhen Steel Sword when the game officially launches. They can find this valuable weapon in their inventory as soon as their adventure starts, and it will enable them to score 10% more Experience Points with every successful kill on the hunt.

If you’re ready to experience life after the Conjunction of the Spheres (or if you simply want to see a Necrophage pop up at a local diner near you), you can visit the official website of The Witcher: Monster Slayer to stay updated on the latest developments.
