Slashy Camp is an endless runner for iOS and Android that sees players embarking on an 80's horror-inspired murder spree

Slashy Camp is an endless runner from developer Blue Wizard Digital that's open for pre-order on iOS and is already available for Android in Early Access. You may remember Blue Wizard Digital from their previous games Slayaway Camp and Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle.

Their latest endeavour, Slashy Camp, has been described by the team as a 'horrific new love-child between Crossy Road and 1980s horror movies'. It will see you swiping on the screen to move Skullface around a scrolling grid in search of clueless campers to murder.

The game will apparently keep some of the sliding-puzzle elements found in Blue Wizard Digital's previous games, though apparently they mostly exist as a way to boost your score. Therefore, if you'd prefer to slice through every camper in your path, you're free to do so.

You will have to remain at least a little cautious, however. Each stage is littered with campfires, bottomless lakes, spike traps, and landmines that could prove hazardous if you step onto them. Alternatively, you can use them to your advantage by scaring campers onto these squares to net additional points.

As you continue playing, you'll gain XP and ultimately level up which will unlock new characters to play as such as the Wolfman, Vampire, Slime Monster, and Fishman. On top of that, there will be different weapons that you can pick up on each run to mix up your murder spree. Some of the tools you may find include a Chainsaw, Golden Machete and a Tuna Fish.

Slashy Camp is available to pre-order now over on the App Store ahead of its release on March 2nd whilst the game is already released in Early Access on Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
