Dr. Mundo, the Madman of Zaun is our next Wild Rift champion to take the stand. He is what you could call a true tank, in the most accurate sense of the word. He is one of those champions that, with just a couple of items, can truly become unkillable. His self-healing is off the charts, and once he gets in your face, the chances of you escaping without burning your Flash (at least) are very slim. 

In the early game, Mundo is not that big a threat, but once you get in mid to late game, he can tank tower shots, Nexus shots, skills, combos, more combos, and more skills, all without breaking a sweat. Oh, and did I mention he doesn't have to worry about Mana? 

That's right - Dr. Mundo is one of the easiest tanks you could play, that can deal plenty of damage, survive even more, and be an overall annoying champion to play against. To top it all off, he's also extremely easy to play. If that sounds good to you, then let's check out his kit!

Adrenaline Rush (Passive)

Dr. Mundo regenerates 1% of his maximum Health each second.

Infected Cleaver (Skill 1)

Dr. Mundo hurls his cleaver, dealing damage equal to a portion of his target's current Health and slowing them for a short time. Dr. Mundo delights in the suffering of others, so he is returned a portion of the Health cost when he successfully lands a cleaver (doubled on killing blows).

Burning Agony (Skill 2)

Dr. Mundo drains his Health to reduce the duration of disables and deal continual damage to nearby enemies.

Masochism (Skill 3)

Dr. Mundo gains bonus attack damage based on his missing health, and his next basic attack headbutts his target for additional damage. Passively increases magic resist whenever Dr. Mundo is dealt magic damage or pays a health cost.

Sadism (Skill 4 / Ultimate)

Dr. Mundo sacrifices a portion of his Health for increased Movement Speed and drastically increased Health Regeneration.

How to combo as Dr. Mundo in Wild Rift

To be completely honest with you, Dr. Mundo doesn't have a single combo, other than the fact that his Skill 1 resets his auto-attacks. He is one of those champions that can probably be played with one hand, while with the other you're sipping cocktails on a beach in the Bahamas. 

Yep, he's that easy to play. If you have his Skill 2 activated and run into your opponents' face, you will do plenty of damage. And if you activate your ultimate too in the meantime, you will regen a lot of HP, making you a walking tank (literally). 

Use your Infected Cleaver to poke and restore HP 

If you want to restore some health during the laning phase, you can just throw your Skill 1 at the opponent and you'll get some HP back. It will also slow enemies down, so if you want to chase them down, this is a great way to crowd control (CC) them.

Don't keep your Skill 2 activated while you don't need it (especially in the early game)

Mundo's skills use his own HP, but don't worry - they won't actually kill you. However, they will get your HP very low if you keep on using the skills, such as Skill 2, non-stop for no reason. So, before you get Spirit Visage/Warmog's Armor, don't keep them activated all the time.

In what order to level up the skills?

On Dr. Mundo you always want to max out your Skill 3 first, then Skill 1, and finally Skill 2. Although Skill 2 is your main damage dealing skill, with Skill 3 you will be tankier and deal more damage when casting your skills. Alternatively, you could go for a mix between Skill 3 and Skill 1 and level them up both equally. I personally prefer this way though:

Level 1: Skill 1
Level 2: Skill 3
Level 3: Skill 2
Level 4: Skill 1
Level 5: Skill 4
Level 6: Skill 3
Level 7: Skill 3

Keep leveling Skill 3 until it's maxed, then focus on Skill 1, and lastly on Skill 2. Of course, whenever you can, you want to add 1 point into your Skill 4 (ultimate).

The best summoner spells

Ignite: Ignites target enemy champion, dealing 60-410 true damage (based on level) over 5 seconds and inflicting them with Grievous Wounds. (Grievous Wounds reduces healing effects by 50%).

Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction. 


Ghost: Gain a large boost of Movement Speed that decays to 25% bonus Movement Speed for 6 seconds. Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction.

Now you need to keep in mind the following: his build depends heavily on the champions the enemy team has. The core items on Mundo are Spirit Visage, Warmog's Armor, and Sunfire Cape, and the rest can be adapted to the types of champions (AP/AD) the enemies have.

If there are a lot of AD champions on the enemy teams: Randuin's Omen is a must, and you could swap Adaptive Helm for Thornmail. Also, don't forget about the Ninja Tabi boots.

If there are a lot of AP champions on the enemy team: then follow the build in the image above, and make sure you grab the Mercury Threads as your boots.

Boots Boots of Swiftness are generally great if you want to be more mobile and you don't need to shift into Ninja Tabis or Mercury Threads. Stoneplate is amazing when you want to be tankier.  Glory is the main enchant you want on boots because it will let you catch up with enemies that are trying to escape.
