Giant Dancing Plushies, a colourful rhythm-action game for iOS, is on the lookout for beta testers

You might remember Dabadu Games from their previous game It's Full of Sparks, which we reviewed back in 2018. Whilst that game dealt with fireworks trying their utmost not to explode, their latest title, Dancing With Giant Plushies, is about enormous cuddly toys dancing to destroy bad guys.

They're very much still in touch with their quirky side then it seems. Beyond the amusing premise, Dancing With Giant Plushies is a rhythm action game that will be heading for iOS. Before it's released into the big wide world though, Dabadu Games are going to carry out a spot of beta testing first and if you'd like to get involved you can do so by joining the TestFlight.

Despite being billed as a rhythm-action game, Dabadu instead refers to it as a dancing title because it's not intended to be overly punishing if you're not perfectly in time with the beat. However, that will be something they'll look at through the duration of the beta.

The main aim - instead of keeping in time to the music - is to destroy enemy vehicles with your overly adorable, Kaiju-sized, cuddly toys by stepping on them whilst trying to avoid civilian cars. Everything will move in time to the music so you will have to anticipate each step ahead of time and adjust your approach accordingly.

Beyond crushing them underneath your giant, fluffy feet there will also be dance sequences you can perform that will unleash special abilities. For instance, moving up, right, left and then down will make your oversized teddies shoot a ball of energy at your foes.

Outside of the gameplay itself, you'll be able to upgrade your plushies to make them even more formidable. There will also be the option to see them dance to music of your choice by using the likes of Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.

Giant Dancing Plushies will be available on the App Store at some stage following its beta period, though we don't know when that will be at the moment. However, if you'd like to be involved in the beta you can do so by joining the Testflight.
