Disney Sorcerer's Arena is a turn-based RPG from Glu, who you might know from Diner Dash Adventures or Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. It is available now for iOS and Android.

The game has been in available in soft launch in different countries over the last few months but now it's officially launched globally. It's already been downloaded over 100,000 times on Google Play alone, but that's not entirely surprising given that it's using a well-known set of IPs.

It's essentially a Disney-themed hero collecting game where you'll be able to assemble a team of beloved characters from across their wide library of films. This includes the likes of Buzz Lightyear, Aladdin, Ariel and of course, the mascot himself, Mickey Mouse. There are over 100 characters to choose from.

That means the various turn-based battles you'll partake in – whether that's in the singleplayer campaign or in PvP – will take place across the different universes this mixture of characters hail from. So you can expect to see locations based on the Lion King or Fantasia, for example.

The characters themselves will also have different classes and abilities. For instance, Sulley of Monsters Inc fame is a tank and will have access to a taunt ability that protects his teammates. Meanwhile, Ariel is a support so has a move that allows her to heal her allies.

They can all learn new moves and be levelled up in the typical gacha fashion with different items required to unlock these additional abilities or to upgrade their stats. There is also an energy system to contend with too, so long-time mobile gamers will know what to expect, it's just a case of if you like the idea of a Disney version of one of these games.

Disney Sorcerer's Arena is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases, some of which ask for pretty hefty sums of money.
