Chester's Adventure is a casual, narrative-driven jigsaw puzzler that's available now for iOS and Android

Chester's Adventure is a new casual puzzle game from I Can Entertainment that's available for both iOS and Android. In essence, it's a jigsaw game but it also has a story to follow along with in between solving the numerous puzzles.

Set in the world of Laleille, Chester – the titular bear – embarks on a journey to restore his home to its former glory. To do this he'll have to defeat the evil Lord of Chaos. This is done by solving a plethora of jigsaw puzzles to progress the story.

It's a simple case of dragging the pieces into the right place and recreating a variety of beautiful hand-drawn images. The game doesn't want to be overly difficult so it will always tell you if you've put a piece in the right place, rather than relying on you to figure it out as you go. And that's pretty much all there is to the core gameplay, so if you're a fan of jigsaw puzzles, you're probably quite likely to enjoy Chester's Adventure.

Beyond that, there is also a spot of ship customisation you can do in between solving the various puzzles. Throughout your adventure, you'll reach different regions in Laleille by travelling on an airship called the Ursa. You'll be able to acquire new parts that will change the look of the ship alongside providing special powers you can use on your journey.

All of these powers are related to making solving puzzles easier. For instance, one might automatically put several pieces in the correct place before you start whilst another will decrease the amount of time before you can request another hint. There are also decorative changes you can make just for fun such as getting new oars, cabins and sails.

Chester's Adventure is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
