PUBG Mobile's Star Challenge came to a head over the weekend, and the event ended with a sizable announcement. Turns out Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake and PUBG Mobile will be having some sort of crossover event.

Little is currently known about what sort of form the event will take. At the very least, I reckon we'll start seeing Resi-themed in-game clothing and frying pans popping up pretty soon. The remake is set for release on January 25th, so I suppose we might not have to wait too long to find out.

However, the trailer above suggests to me that the event could perhaps be a little more extensive, maybe even adding some sort of zombies mode? Again, only time will tell.

PUBG Mobile just keeps going from strength to strength, and it's certainly no stranger to odd crossover events – this latest one being the most intriguing yet.

Our lovely editor, Ric, was lucky enough to attend the Star Challenge finals in Dubai, and you can check out his event diary by clicking this here link.

Oh, and just in case you haven't already given it a shot, here are the links to download PUBG Mobile from the App Store and Google Play Store.
