In the craze that was Thanksgiving and Black Friday week last week we missed out on a bit of news by our sister site, PocketGamer.biz, regarding a World of Warcraft mobile game. If there is one in the works, it might have some strong Pokemon GO-vibes.

A few weeks ago after BlizzCon it was revealed that Blizzard's definitely keen to bring more titles to mobile across all of its IPs, so it's not much of a surprise to hear this news. Over on Kotaku it's noted that there are a huge number of mobile game - particularly Pokemon GO - players at Blizzard, including Lead Designer, Cory Stockton.

"The natural extension of that was for one of Blizzard’s incubation teams to develop a Warcraft version of Pokémon Go, which is in development for smartphones now," writes Jason Schreier.

Though this seems like a common shape for popular IPs to take nowadays, alongside the usual match-three or endless running lark, seemingly the game has more to it than Pokemon GO. This includes single-player mechanics, which intrigues me greatly.

Of course, this might come to light or it might vanish into thin air, so we'll have to wait for more information before getting too excited.
