This year's San Diego Comic Con offered a rich bounty of content, from new trailers to extra little trickles of information, and the future Pokemon GO was obviously going to be a major discussion.
After taking off at such an incredible speed, the team are determined to keep the momentum rolling as Niantic Labs' founder John Hanke discussed what was next for the popular app.
Hanke stated that a few more Pokemon could be on the way (past the original 150 but hopefully not too far past) in the coming months and years. What's more interesting however was his opinion on what else might be coming to the game in the future.
Pokemon GO is fairly stark at the moment, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out, but it appears that more features will hopefully be included as the game develops. Hanke hopes to look into customising areas such as the Pokestops into Pokecentres to heal your poor Pokemon, as well as potentially looking at Pokemon breeding inside the title.
It was also mentioned that players still have a lot to find within the game. Easter eggs, such as naming your Eevee 'Sparky' or 'Pyro' to ensure the path of its Eeveelution, have yet to be discovered as well as a few rare Pokemon that are yet unaccounted for.
Hanke revealed one final piece of information over the weekend via tweet, that whichever team you chose - Team Instinct, Team Valor, and Team Mystic - each one now has a trainer to offer you advice as you go about catching 'em all.
It's a relief to see that Niantic Labs is planning on furthering Pokemon GO with more content. Until the first update however we'll just have to wait and see what else is on the cards for this addictive little game.
