The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth gets a "first look" beta video of its near final state
Don't tell Mom!
While Edmund McMillen has released plenty of screenshots, GIFs, and small video teasers for his upcoming Binding of Isaac remake, this is considered the first footage of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth in its "near final state."
See it in all its gross, teary-eyed glory below, or on the game's official website.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a completely revamped version of the original game. It will ship with everything from the standard and Wrath of the Lamb DLC in-tact - improved, of course - as well as double the amount of characters, items, enemies, and more.
The game also comes with an entirely new art style, inspired by the GBA. This is due to McMillen's dissatisfaction with what he called the "big rush job" of the original game's art.
Expect to see The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on PS Vita sometime this year.
While McMillen has expressed interest in porting the game to 3DS, as of his most recent FAQ, the likelihood of this is low, possibly due to Nintendo's publishing rules and the game's questionable content.
