Shelterra the Skyworld is another Kemco Android JRPG with monsters, a 2D map, and lots of angsty hair

This story isn't an April Fools' gag. Kemco really has released another JRPG on the Google Play Store.

I know, I know: it's hard to believe.

Especially given today's date and how rarely this publisher publishes games about angsty young men discovering themselves in fantasy worlds. But it's true. Honest.

Anyway, this new one is called Shelterra the Skyworld, and it's all about - oh, I don't know - romping through a 2D world fighting monsters and discovering the mystery that lies behind some dark stuff that's been going down.

That was a guess - let me just check the trailer...

... Spot on.

There are things called "Artifacts" here. Oh, and it looks like you have demon things on your side in fights. Plus, you can summon stuff and do other things and you're called Claude and you have quite nice hair.

Shelterra the Skyworld is on sale for £3.99 / $3.99 to celebrate its English language launch on Google Play. Once that sale is over, though, it'll cost a lot more. Like £8.99 / $8.99. Or something like that.

If you like looking at screenshots, there are a whole bunch of them up in the gallery at the top of this page. If you like buying games, you can grab Shelterra the Skyworld from Google Play right now.
