Apple doubles the over-the-air App Store download limit to 100MB

We've all been there.

Out and about when the latest game hits the App Store with no wi-fi connection for miles.

Prior to today, if the game was larger than 50MB, Apple wouldn't let you download it over 3G / 4G.

With the release of iOS 7, though, Apple has increased that 3G / 4G limit to 100MB.

Sure, you still won't be able to download Infinity Blade III over a mobile data connection, but there's a decent chunk of games out there that are much smaller.

DL-wheeeeee

This new download limit makes sense in a world with all-you-can-eat data packages. And it's good to see Apple moving with the times and letting us take responsibility for our own massive bills.

It's not the only cool new feature in iOS 7, mind. So, why don't you check out the 7 best new features in iOS 7 and 15 awesome iOS 7 features that you might miss articles to discover the rest.

You can thank me later.
