Visual novel Analogue: A Hate Story should be hitting the App Store before the end of the year

According to a post on indie visual novelist Christine Love's blog, her visual novel Analogue: A Hate Story will be published on the App Store later in the year.

In Analogue: A Hate Story, Love tells the story of a Generation Ship, Mugunghwa, which was lost in deep space 600 years ago.

You play an investigator attempting to piece together what happened on the ship using the logs recovered after its re-appearance.

You're aided in your task by a pair of AI helpers, who spin the story and act as guides through the narrative as it slowly unfurls.

Analogue: A Hate Story is a sometimes dark, often affecting piece of work, in which Love deals with themes as diverse as transhumanism, traditional marriage, loneliness, and cosplay.

With its interesting sci-fi interface and text-based storytelling, the game should be a good fit for smartphone and tablet gaming .

Golden Gear Games is handling the iOS port, by the way. While there's no concrete release date for Analogue: A Hate Story, Golden Gear is aiming to have the game ready before the turn of the year.
