Battle of the Bulge creator Shenandoah Studio turns to Kickstarter again to raise funds for Gettysburg: The Tide Turns

History is fun

Battle of the Bulge creator Shenandoah Studio turns to Kickstarter again to raise funds for Gettysburg: The Tide Turns

Shenandoah Studio's World War II game Battle of the Bulge is a brilliant mixture of history lesson and tense strategy. That's why we gave it a Silver Award.

So, you can imagine our excitement when we found out that Shenandoah Studio is preparing to release another game centred on one of the most famous battles in military history.

In Shenandoah Studio's hex-based war game Gettysburg: The Tide Turns, you will play as either the Union or the Confederates, battling across the Civil War's most famous, or infamous, battlefield.

Once again, Shenandoah Studios is turning to the popular crowdfunding site Kickstarter in order to drum up the funds necessary for the game.

The US-based studio is looking to raise $20,000 to push the game forward.

There'll be period details on the map and UI; a randomly generated turn sequence; a more casual mode for first-time players; and all the historical detail you'd expect from a Shenandoah Studios game in this new title.

If the funding drive for Gettysburg: The Tide Turns is successful, the game will be available for iPhone and iPad.

The Kickstarter campaign for Gettysburg: The Tide Turns went live a few moments ago and will run until August 26th.

There are plenty of 'rewards' on offer to backers, including a physical boardgame version of Gettysburg: The Tide Turns for those who dig the deepest.

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, you can check out the Gettysburg: The Tide Turns Kickstarter page here.
