What do we have on the Nintendo 3DS this week, then? Well, quite a lot actually.

We've got big name downloads. We've got big name retail releases. We've got... well, that's it actually, but that's more than enough to keep us happy.

But should you pick any of them up? That's the real question that we will attempt to answer now for you.

Because, you know, we're nice like that.

European eShop releases

Nano Assault EX is an action shooter that was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2011 as a retail title.

This new version includes new game modes and, perhaps more importantly, a cut-down price of £12.49. The original was decent, so we're expecting this one to be pretty swell too. A review is on the way.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is out this week, which is rather exciting. It ditches the Metroidvania setup, and goes back to a time when Castlevania was a 2D sidescroller.

The digital version is £39.99, which is a bit too much. You can no doubt find it at retail for a much more reasonable price.

The Virtual Console has a new title this week too, in the form of Legend of the River King. It's a fishing game about looking for a mystical fish that will help cure your sick sister...

No wait, come back! It's actually pretty good, and for £4.49, you could do a lot worse.

US eShop releases

The US eShop has a whole separate selection from the European store this week, as per usual.

You can expect to find Kersploosh!, a game about dropping stones down a well, while dodging around donuts and biscuits. Yep, it's pretty weird.

I wasn't a huge fan (review is coming soon), but if you like doing the same thing over and over again with the aim to get better and better at it, maybe you'll enjoy it more than me.

Americans also get Nano Assault EX this week, as described above, for $14.99. Worth picking up? We'll let you know soon.

ATV Wild Ride 3D is a quad-bike racing game, with both local and internet play for up to four players. That's $7.99, if you're interested.

And Wrecking Crew has been added to the Virtual Console. It features Mario smashing the hell out of blocks, and costs $4.99.

As for retail-to-download titles, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is now available to download if you haven't managed to pick that up yet. It will no doubt be cheaper at retail.

The final game available is called Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze. It's a roller skating game based on the Monster High dolls franchise. Yes. Skultimate.

Oh, there's a demo for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity available too, so you'll probably want to grab that.

We're nearly done - Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword is discounted this week. It usually costs $6.99, but right now it's $4.99.

Catch you next week.
