DreamWorks Dragons: TapDragonDrop
By PikPok - download for iPhone and iPad

This puzzle-filled adventure title, which is based on DreamWorks's excellent How to Train Your Dragon movie, challenges you to use your dragon's unique abilities to rescue sheep across 40 taxing levels.

Sometimes, your dragon just can't get the job done alone, so you'll also have to utilise catapults, drawbridges, boulders, haystacks, and more to complete the task.

You can also unlock special "hero levels" by collecting the viking treasure that's scattered throughout the game.

Icarus-X
By The Quadsphere - download for iPhone and iPad

Icarus-X is a fast-paced vertical shooter in which you face off against waves and waves of gun-touting enemies, huge bosses, and further waves of enemies. Lots of enemies, basically.

There are four challenging modes for you to work your way through, plenty of Game Center achievements to unlock, and a great feature that allows you to download replay data from some of the best players from around the world.

Anthony is a Liverpool, UK-based writer who fell in love with gaming while playing Super Mario World on his SNES back in the early '90s. When he isn't busy grooming his beard, you can find him replaying Resident Evil or Final Fantasy VII for the umpteenth time. Aside from gaming, Anthony likes hiking, MMA, and pretending he’s a Viking.
