Square Enix's Final Fantasy Brigade passes 1 million users on Mobage Japan in 26 days
Airships and Chocobos still popular
Having originally been scheduled to launch in late December, it appears the delay to Final Fantasy Brigade's roll out has done the game no harm.
DeNA claims the Square Enix title has already amassed more than 1 million user registrations in its first 26 days on Japanese version of the firm's social platform Mobage.
That means more than 38,000 new users are registering to play each day.
Chocobo celebrationAs a result, Square Enix has added a new campaign to the game, which can be taken on across both feature phones and smartphones.
Details on the new mission are sketchy – namely because the press release detailing its launch is entirely in Japanese – though it appears Red Chocobo (as featured in Final Fantasy XII) is also set to make an appearance.
"Final Fantasy Brigade allows Mobage users to enjoy the Final Fantasy universe through a simple gameplay while collaborating with others," the two firms said when the game was unveiled.
"Each player owns an airship with which they can explore the Final Fantasy universe by forming an airship party with their friends. To make their airship parties stronger, players will earn experience points by completing quests."
More details can be found - in Japanese at least – on DeNA's website.
