Welcome to this week's penultimate edition of Pocket Gamer's free game round-up - a feature that highlights the top App Store titles that have been made free in the past 24 hours.

As we've stated many times before, prices in the App Store change frequently. Grab these freebies before you miss out on a top bargain.

Remember to let us and your fellow readers know about any other great free apps in our comments section below.

Additionally, you can also find out about all the latest App Store updates, price drops, and more by using the cleverly hidden hyperlink in this paragraph.

Space Miner (iPhone and iPad)

If you've ever wanted to visit outer space, you'll be pleased to read that both the iPhone and iPad versions of Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning shooter Space Miner are now available for free. That's a lot cheaper than Virgin Galactic, we're sure you'll agree.

This arcade-action title allows you to explore a non-linear world of 48 sectors, earn mining licences, unearth valuable treasures, and put a stop to the morally dubious Mega Space Corporation.

Linkoidz (Universal)

The App Store is packed to its digital rafters with match-three titles of varying quality, but that hasn't stopped Retro Dreamer's colourful Bronze Award puzzler Linkoidz standing out from the crowd.

There are three different Arcade modes for you to tackle - Endless, Sprint, and Zen - 30 training and challenge missions, and enough Game Center achievements to fill your virtual trophy case.

Power Pool (iPhone and iPad)

In Power Pool's App Store description, its developer defines this sports title as "Pool with power-ups". These power-ups range from exploding balls to pinball bumpers and mega cues.

Each of the game's 30 levels and two game modes - Normal and Frenzy - allows you to earn shiny trophies to display on your Game Center profile.
