Sony Ericsson is using the annual Gamescom conference to showcase some new Xperia Play functionality and a fresh batch of games from the likes of EA and Gameloft.

These Xperia Play-optimised titles include previous iOS smash hits such as Dead Space, Reckless Getaway, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and new releases such as Let's Golf! 3.

That brings the Xperia Play's ever-growing games catalogue up to over 150 titles.

Sony Ericsson will also be showing off its phone's new functionality, which gives you the ability to recommend your favourite games on Facebook.

You can also easily share your high scores, and post screenshots from any game.

A 'friends' games and apps widget' on your device's home screen will even allow you to quickly check which titles have been highlighted by your buddies.

Sony Ericsson will be present at Gamescom until August 21st, so check back here for any new news.
