PopCap’s Bookworm for iPhone reduced to 59p/99c for 48 hours
Two-thirds sliced off, but it’s still wriggling
PopCap’s been in particularly benevolent form of late, and it’s always careful to take an equal-opportunities approach to its altruism.
So after offering Android users free access to Chuzzle and Plants vs Zombies for a limited time with one hand, it’s now extending the other to iPhone owners by reducing the price of the ludicrously addictive Bookworm to just 59p/99c.
The wordy puzzler is part of the company’s Crazy Dave’s Deal Days promotion, during which a new PopCap game is substantially reduced in price for 48 hours. Bookworm earned a Pocket Gamer Bronze Award back in 2009.
No word yet on what the next game on offer from the Seattle-based publisher might be, but if, in two days’ time, you visit Pocket Gamer to find a complete absence of any work-related activity, then it’s a fair bet that we’re all in the throes of Peggle fever once more.
