Dragon Quest Heroes 3 coming to 3DS later this year, details

Details have slipped through the cracks regarding the next Dragon Quest Heroes game, due for release on the Nintendo 3DS later this year.

Dragon Quest Heroes 3: The Great Pirate Ship and Tails Troupe, to give its full name, will take place mostly at sea rather than on land, reports Siliconera.

Battles will take place on the deep blue, with ships launching cannon balls and the like at each other. Ships can also be customised with whichever weapons you choose.

You'll be taking down pirates mainly, although at certain points in the game you'll also get the chance to dock your ship and take to the land.

These sections will play out in a style similar to the previous Dragon Quest Heroes game.

The Great Pirate Ship and Tails Troupe will make use of all the Nintendo 3DS features, including StreetPass, Nintendo wi-fi and, of course, the stereoscopic 3D.
