3DS date and price to be announced September 29th

Nintendo has informed Bloomberg of Japan that it will be announcing the release date and price of the 3DS on September 29th.
We’ve known for some time that the console would be out in all major regions by the end of March 2011, courtesy of big Reggie. But we have no idea when the initial Japanese roll-out will be.
Is it going to be months in advance of the predicted UK March release – perhaps in time for Christmas - or will Nintendo opt for a tighter global roll-out?
On the price front, we’ve had a couple of industry analysts pinning their guesses on $250, which would make the 3D device significantly more expensive than previous Nintendo handheld launches.
Roll on September 29th, when all will be revealed.
