Rock Band goes on tour in Rock Band Mobile

Recently, a Swedish physicist hypothesised that the universe will implode if a single week goes by without some kind of Rock Band announcement, but the duty of protecting existence as we know it doesn't often fall to us at Pocket Gamer.

Until today. Rock Band Mobile has been announced, and in the hopes of staving off galactic obliteration we thought we'd better let you know about it.

The ultra-mega-popular music/rhythm game is hitting the road, and taking four instruments (guitar, drums, bass and vocals), 23 bands and 25 tracks with it. With all those musos in one virtual tour bus, it makes sense that you'll also be able to have multiplayer jam sessions.

It's less fathomable exactly how the vocal aspects will work, unless it's the most obvious method and you simply sing into your handset like a Radio 1 phone in, of course. Unlikely, but still an intriguing concept.

Anyway, the game has been given a US release date of September 16th, so we'll have to wait and see when Rock Band Mobile will be touring Europe. In the meantime, here's the track listing so you can get some practice in.
