Freeverse titles to support ngmoco's Plus+

New and previous releases to be integrated in XBLA-like service

Much has been made of Plus+ since ngmoco launch the social gaming network in July, but today it finally received support from a third party. Freeverse formally announced that it will be integrating select titles with Plus+.

Freeverse will extend support for Plus+ to a select number of currently available titles including Flick Fishing.

All Freeverse games moving forward will support Plus+ leaderboards, friends, followers, and achievements. Forthcoming space trading and conquest game Warpgate is slated to be the first new title to launch as such.

Freeverse declined to elaborate on whether additional games in the company's back catalog such as Burning Monkey Casino or Grunts would also receive Plus+ integration or if the partnership extends to future titles with Flick Fishing being an exception.

Despite our recent analysis, Freeverse President Ian Lynch Smith contends that Plus+ is the emerging standard for social gaming on iPhone. "We're confident that Plus+ promises to be the definitive social map iPhone players have been searching for."

While we can agree to disagree on that point, it's great to see Freeverse taking to one of the social networks as a way of extending the value of their games.

Warpgate will receive Plus+ support first when it launches, followed by an update to Flick Fishing at a later date.
