Sony says 2009 will be the year of the PSP

We know 2009 is the Year of the Ox according to the Chinese (or rather, we just found it out when we checked on Google), but we didn't know the ox would be sharing the limelight with Sony's PSP.

But it will be, according to Matt Levitan, marketing and public relations manager for PlayStation Canada.

What do you mean, "Who?"

Levitan, talking in an interview with Canadian site herenb, has expressed his opinion the PSP is the one to watch in 2009, saying: "I also think 2009 is going to be the year of the PSP. We have Resistance: Retribution coming in February but I've seen a lot of the stuff in development and it is not a mistake by any means to a buy a PSP now."

"So there you go. If you've just bought the new PSP 3000 and been moaning ever since the bright screen looks rubbish or your Memory Stick doesn't work with the PlayStation Store, don't go slinging the thing on the car boot sale heap just yet. Because some of that "stuff" Levitan has seen might be good, and then you'll be sorry.
