Lots of games make an effort to re-engineer those retro classics, but few bother to recreate their visual style, as well as gameplay.
Retro Snaker from Inlogic evidently attempts to do both; providing a game where you guide a snake around the screen gathering up goodies that increase your serpentine length. But the dev team has also made a significant effort to recreate that special, greenish/grey Game Boy LCD appearance, which we think looks rather dashing.
"Retro Snaker reminds us of older, simpler, but enjoyable games. We believe that it will become a favourite part of your mobile phone and will bring you a lot of fun," says Ján Kalafut, head of business at Inlogic Software.
Available in three different resolutions to cater for the majority of handsets, Retro Snaker looks like a decent, nostalgic title sure to raise a smile on any retro gamer's face.
