New DS to be unveiled at E3 rumours begin
Here we go...
It's unlikely to surprise anyone into falling off their chair and onto their coccyx, but the first rumour suggesting Nintendo will be unveiling a new DS during this summer's E3 has emerged.
Akayuki.com is saying the president of Enterbrain (who publishes video game 'bible' Weekly Famitsu) is claiming there's a chance such a product will be revealed at the July industry exhibition.
Which isn't exactly a sun-extinguishing declaration. Nintendo previously released a revised version of its Game Boy seemingly every other week, and it's a strategy the company is more than likely to continue with that handheld's 'successor'. Particularly as analysts are beginning to say the current Lite model may have peaked.
E3 isn't until July 15th, so expect much, much more noise on the subject between now and then.
