Arknights: Endfield will make its western debut as it joins showcase at Gamescom
If you're attending, you'll get your first glimpse of the upcoming Arknights spinoff

- Arknights: Endfield will be showcased to the public for the first time at Gamescom
- While the game has had a limited technical test, lucky fans in attendance can finally get hands-on
- Set in the same world as its predecessor, it takes the action into the open-world RPG format with new, tactical combat
Arknights: Endfield, the upcoming spin-off of the hit Arknights RPG, will be showcased for the first time at the upcoming Gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany. The game was previously only available for a limited-time technical test, but its appearance at Gamescom will allow fans to finally get hands-on with this upcoming title.
Arknights: Endfield is set in the same universe as its predecessor, but takes the action away from tower defence and into the realm of real-time tactical combat. It also lets you explore an entirely open world, not too dissimilar to games like MiHoyo's Genshin Impact.
Arknights has grown into its own hugely successful franchise, with its own anime series and more. Endfield is set to further expand on the world of Talos-II, where the original game is set, and if you're attending Gamescom at the end of this month, you could be lucky enough to get hands-on with it.

It could be argued that the expansion of the Arknights brand into the open world is primarily influenced by how MiHoYo popularised it with the release of Genshin Impact. Since that release, fans have clamoured for bigger, better and more open mobile games, with even AFK Arena shifting to an open world for its sequel AFK Journey.
We haven't had the chance to play Arknights: Endfield yet, but we'll be keeping a keen eye on just how this game is received by those lucky fans at Gamescom.
