Fans of the cult PC hit Recatter should put Rideon Japan's new iOS RPG Adventure Bar Story high on their watchlist, as it's quite possibly only the second-ever game to not cast you as the "Chosen One", but rather a humble businessman in a fantasy world.

Yes, instead of having a Manifest Destiny, you must juggle running a successful restaurant with forming parties and bopping any nasty monsters in turn-based JRPG fashion.

Can you smell what the Rock Demon is cooking?

From these monsters come the ingredients you need to create increasingly delicious dishes to keep the patrons coming. Levelling-up, meanwhile, doesn't occur through fights but through eating said dishes. Tasty.

The game features 400 different recipes for you to try out, ten dungeons to battle through, and an advertised 50-70 hours of gameplay. That's rather a lot given it's being sold for 69p / 99c.

Adventure Bar Story is out now in the New Zealand App Store, so should be setting up shop in the US and UK from midnight this evening.
