Vikings and Minotaurs brawl on your mobile
Sadly not together – these are two separate games from GlobalFun
Man, imagine how cool a game would be if it had berserk Viking warriors beating the bejaysus out of mythical minotaurs. Actually, scrub that: if it was a movie, it'd be a guaranteed Oscar-winner.
Anyway, GlobalFun hasn't quite made that monstrous mobile game yet, but it has announced separate Viking and minotaur-based titles.
A Viking Saga looks ace – it's a beat'em up where you have to help Odin (the King Of The Gods) to stop bad god Loki from destroying the world. From the screenshots we've seen, it looks like Golden Axe on steroids, which can't be a bad thing.
Meanwhile, Great Legends: The Minotaur is a classical tale that sees you playing Theseus, who has to battle his way through the infamous labyrinth in order to see off the Minotaur – a half-man, half-bull with only one eye and a head full of snakes. Oh, hang on, we're getting a couple of other myths mixed up. Anyway, it's a polished-looking action adventure.
Both games are due out in May.
