N-Gage no longer has Worms
THQ Wireless stops production
Gloomy news for fans of the Worms series and for N-Gage fans in general - THQ Wireless has suspended production on Worms World Party for the platform.
We were a little perplexed by a throwaway comment made on the official N-Gage blog recently, stating that "production on that game has been postponed".
A little probing from our sister site, PocketGamer.biz, drew a swift “no comment” from a THQ Wireless spokesperson, along with a reassurance that the publisher is still committed to N-Gage.
The Worms series is ever-present on virtually any format you care to mention. Back in May we reviewed the latest mobile version, Worms 2008: A Space Oddity, and thoroughly loved it, so it’s disappointing that we won’t get to see an N-Gage version with all of the improvements that would entail.
We can only speculate as to the reason for the cancellation, but we’ll bring you more info as we receive it.
