As I mentioned yesterday with Sky: Children of the Light's Lunar New Year-themed event, it seems as if the dreary month of January has been livened up a bit by the popularity of this calendar event. And it's no different even over in the super-serious world of naval combat as World of Warships Legends debuts its Sun Wukong-themed event!
Sun Wukong, the monkey king, needs little introduction as the titular character of Journey to the West which is a famous novel and beloved fictional inspiration for much Asian literature. Little surprise then it's the focus of World of Warships Legends Lunar New Year event.
Aside from the rest of the content debuting in this new update (including a campaign for the French Tier VII Premium battleship Picardie), the Lunar New Year event will see Wukong himself debut as a commander guise for all nations. He'll debut alongside his Pan-Asian Tier VII Premium cruiser Wukong and numerous other skins inspired by characters from the novels.

But it's not just that either! World of Warships Legends is also set to resurrect previous Lunar New Year content! Expect the return of the Celestial Guardian commander guise, with a daily bonus and several Pan-Asian and Japanese ships in ornate skins. Keep an eye out for Lunar Year '25 crates available in the store and in-game to nab these rewards, including an exclusive Japanese Tier VI Premium cruiser Tokachi.

It's not all sunshine and roses in the land of mobile gaming, of course, Catherine in particular struggled a bit with the recently released Kardboard Kings in her latest review.
