Words With Friends celebrates "National Words With Friends Day” with in-game events and social media giveaways

Zynga is kicking things off during its Words With Friends birthday bash with tons of in-game festivities for loyal fans to take part in. The popular franchise is not only celebrating its 13th birthday on July 19th, but it's also gearing up for “National Words With Friends Day” with special giveaways, exciting challenges and bountiful sweepstakes in the next few days.

Words With Friends has grown beyond a mobile game into a pastime that’s embedded in popular culture, and we’re excited to enjoy National Words With Friends Day with our community,” says Yaron Leyvand, Executive Vice President of Mobile Games at Zynga. “Every day, Words With Friends connects millions of players around the globe, and we want to recognize the importance of those connections by celebrating our franchise’s 13th birthday together in the game we all love.”

In particular, players can expect a New Birthday Cake Tile Style Bundle in Words With Friends 2, plus a Word Of The Day and Free Facebook Gift event that lets players score an in-game reward by taking part in Facebook festivities. Players can also score an exclusive 13th birthday-themed profile frame until July 19th when they take on challenges with “Baker Bella”.

There are tons of other festivities in store for players in the next few days, so if you're eager to join in, you can download Words With Friends 2 on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store.
