LoL: Wild Rift Lux Champion Guide: Best build, items, and everything you need to know
Updated: July 24, 2021

In this League of Legends: Wild Rift Lux guide you'll find everything you need to know about the champion, from her skills and how to allocate them to her build, skill combo, and runes. This is what you will find in the Lux guide below:

The Lady of Luminosity or Lux, as she is most commonly known, is the next champion in Wild RIft we are going to tackle. She is very similar to Seraphine in many regards but with a lot more burst damage power. Of course, she could be played as a support or in the mid lane as a mage, but I strongly suggest you play her as a rather carry support.

Having played my fair share of Lux games, I've learned a couple of things. First - she could either surprise you with a lot of damage, or a lot less damage than you thought (depending on the matchup), and second - she can be a really annoying opponent to deal with if she's ahead.

If you are unsure how good the Lux really is, check the position in our updated Wild Rift Tier List.

Below we are going to tackle both AP and Support Lux, but to tell you the truth... no Lux that goes support will really support you. It's rather the opposite, in the sense that you will support her.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Lux's skills:

Illumination (Passive)

Lux's damaging spells charge the target with energy for 5 seconds. Lux's next attack ignites the energy, dealing bonus magic damage (depending on Lux's level) to the target.

Light Binding (Skill 1)

Lux releases a sphere of light that binds and deals damage to up to two enemy units.

Prismatic Barrier (Skill 2)

Lux throws her wand and bends the light around any friendly target it touches, protecting them from enemy damage.

Lucent Singularity (Skill 3)

Fires an anomaly of twisted light to an area, which slows nearby enemies. Lux can detonate it to damage enemies in the area of effect.

Final Spark (Skill 4 / Ultimate)

After gathering energy, Lux fires a beam of light that deals damage to all targets in the area. In addition, triggers Lux's passive ability and refreshes the Illumination debuff duration.

How to combo as Lux in Wild Rift:

There are quite a few combos you could pull off, depending on the situation:

- Skill 1 -> Skill 3 -> Skill 4 + Skill 3 (you activate it again once your ultimate is casting)

This is a very straightforward combo, as long as you manage to root the opponent on the first try. Also, try to auto-attack them after each skill if you can. Otherwise, just make sure you use three skills to proc the rune (Electrocute).

- Skill 3 (double-cast) -> Skill 1 -> Skill 4

This combo is pretty simple and works in most cases on low HP enemies. You basically slow them with your Skill 3, then root them and finally one-shot them with your ultimate. If possible, try to squeeze an auto-attack too after your Skill 1 or Skill 4 (or both!).

- Flash -> Skill 1 -> Skill 3 -> Skill 4 + Skill 3

This last combo is great if you know for sure you have the damage to 100 to 0 an enemy. Additionally, you could also cast Ignite for some added damage.

- Skill 3 (double-cast) -> (try to squeeze in an auto-attack if possible) -> Skill 1 -> Auto-attack -> Skill 4 -> Auto-attack

This combo is great for maximizing the damage output. Since her passive will be triggered by auto-attacks on marked enemies, you can try to pull it off as often as you can. If you can't auto-attack an opponent after you use your Skill 3, don't worry - just root them instead with Skill 1 and then auto-attack them.

Wild Rift Lux - In what order to level up the skills?

For Lux, no matter if you are support or mage, you want to max your Skill 3 first. Then, depending on the role you play, you will either level up Skill 2 as support or Skill 1 as a mid laner, as follows:

- For Support Lux:

Level 1: Skill 3
Level 2: Skill 2
Level 3: Skill 1
Level 4: Skill 3
Level 5: Skill 4
Level 6: Skill 3
Level 7: Skill 3

Keep leveling Skill 3 until it's maxed, then focus on Skill 2, and lastly on Skill 1. Don't forget to keep adding 1 point into your Skill 4 (ultimate) whenever possible.

- For Mage Lux:

Level 1: Skill 3
Level 2: Skill 1
Level 3: Skill 2
Level 4: Skill 3
Level 5: Skill 4
Level 6: Skill 3
Level 7: Skill 3

Keep leveling Skill 3 until it's maxed, then focus on Skill 1, and lastly on Skill 2. Don't forget to keep adding 1 point into your Skill 4 (ultimate) whenever possible.

The best summoner spells for Lux in Wild Rift:

Ignite: Ignites target enemy champion, dealing 60-410 true damage (based on level) over 5 seconds and inflicting them with Grievous Wounds. (Grievous Wounds reduces healing effects by 50%).

Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction.

The best runes for Support Lux:

The best runes for Mage Lux:

The best items for Support Lux:

You could replace Morellonomicon for Luden's Echo if you want more burst damage, but Morello is better for the late-game.

The best items for Mage Lux:

Boots:  Ionian Stasis is the boot you want in most cases as a mid laner, since Lux is squishy and it will help you stay alive in difficult situations. Ionian Redemption is the usual choice if you want to play support Lux unless you want to buy Ionian Stasis.
