Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2nd Edition arrives on mobile

First edition clearly wasn't the final answer

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2nd Edition arrives on mobile

Question: How many copies of the first Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? did mobile games publisher Glu sell in its first eight months of release?

A: 75,000
B: 2,842
C: 1,000,000
D: 11

Are you sure? What if you phoned a friend, and they quoted the following words from Kristian Segerstråle, Glu's managing director: "The 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' franchise of games has been immensely successful on the mobile platform, and we're thrilled to bring the new and improved game to mobile gamers throughout Europe."

Did you get that? 'Immensely succesful'.

Naturally enough, the second edition of the game features all new questions, delivered in the familiar format and with the lifelines offered by the TV show. More interestingly, you can now compete in a 'fastest finger first' round to boost your score, which you can then upload to online server. You can even boast of your virtual millionaire status online.

The answer, by the way, was C: 1,000,000. But nobody ever asked us if we bought that first edition (we did, and we reviewed it), so let's call it 1,000,001.

We'll be looking at the new game too, just as soon as we can get our crack reviewer to understand that It's Not Real Money You Win.
