Indie dev team Emotional Robots has released its first game into the wild frontier that is the App Store. It’s called Warm Gun, it's built on the Unreal Engine, and it’s a multiplayer first-person shooter with a Wild West-cum-steampunk flavour to it.

With four character classes, tons of weapons, and a healthy selection of maps and game types to choose from, Warm Gun should keep even the most ardent shooter occupied for a while.

Emotional Robots has promised frequent updates to Warm Gun post-launch, so players can expect tweaks, improvements, and brand-new features over the coming weeks.

For those who still need convincing of Warm Gun's value, Emotional Robots is offering gamers a free single-player demo, entitled Warm Gun: Carnival of Bullets. This introduces players to The Preacher (one of the four main characters) and the post-apocalyptic environments of the full Warm Gun game through shooting galleries and mini-challenges.

Warm Gun and Warm Gun: Carnival of Bullets are available to download as Universal apps right now. Warm Gun is priced at £2.99 / $4.99, whilst Carnival of Bullets is absolutely free.
