Vampir best class guide - From Bloodstained banes to vicious Vipers
It's hard to pick a favourite when the world is this deliciously dark, so why not let our Vampir best class guide help you out?
Do you love bloody vampires and dark fantasy worlds filled with monsters? Or do you simply want to enjoy a bloodier version of a playable Dracula character? Then Vampir from Netmarble is one of the best MMORPGs you can dive into! The character you will create can be customised however you like, and that's just one of the many beautiful aspects of the game.
Another one is the classes, and this guide is all about picking the best class in VAMPIR.
Depending on your playstyle, you might want to think this through before you dive in. Each class plays differently, and although there are skills/mechanics that can be active for all the classes, the class-specific skills really do shine through, making each of them unique.
How to pick your class
When picking your character's class, there are a few things you should always take into consideration, since the MMORPG has no dedicated healer class:- Do you want to play a more defensive or offensive class?
- Do you prefer melee, or would you rather go ranged?
- And finally, do you want to PvP?
Depending on your answer, the class you select will be different. A defensive approach in Vampir doesn't necessarily mean it has no damage - and PvP-oriented doesn't automatically mean you will be useless when doing bosses. So, it all boils down to long-term decisions.
Of course, you can always create multiple characters - you can even have one of each!
So on the following pages, I've listed all the classes and mentioned everything there is to know about each one of them.
Bloodstained | Carnage | Akasha | Grim Reaper | Viper
Bloodstained
- Role: Melee / Defense
- Playstyle: Berserker-style, Weaken debuffs, crowd control
| Strengths | Weaknesses |

|
Bloodstained is a pretty straightforward class - you will go to the boss/enemy, deal damage, sustain, and then carry on. Despite the melee range, they are good in both PvP and PvE, providing a useful Weaken debuff with their Blood Sword skill.
Who is this class good for?
Bloodstained is a good class for anyone - it is beginner-friendly, and it is simple enough to pull off any combos in the late game. It might be a bit tricky to master the melee range, but Bloodstained is sturdy enough to take a hit and absorb that damage, so it's easily a good choice.Carnage
- Role: Ranged / Swift Strike
- Playstyle: Ranged gunner, AoE damage, high DPS
| Strengths | Weaknesses |

Carnage is one of the best PvE damage dealers, especially against bosses. They have amazing single-target and AoE damage, and can easily farm. It is one of the best PvE classes, with the only drawback in PvP being their low defences and relative lack of crowd control.
Who is this class good for?
If you are considering playing Carnage, it's good to know that you will probably have some of the highest DPS on your team. Unless a well-geared Viper joins the fight, you have the crown. Even with relatively low investment, as a Carnage player, you will be useful, dealing damage consistently without much hassle.I would recommend this class to players who want to stay F2P and enjoy a ranged class and focus mainly on PvE. PvP is doable too, but you must always pay attention to your surroundings and ideally overwhelm enemies before they get in range and CC you.
Akasha
- Role: Melee / Pursuit
- Playstyle: Assassin-style, PvP-focused, solid CC
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|
|
Akasha is one of the best-looking classes in my personal opinion. They are an assassin, and they do really good damage in both PvP and PvE. The only drawback would be that they don't have the defences of the Bloodstained, and combined with melee range, you will have to pay close attention to your positioning when fighting bosses.
Who is this class good for?
Akasha is the go-to class for players who want to focus on PvP. There is a lot of PvP content in VAMPIR, so there is a need for classes like it. You could say the Akasha is the counter to ranged classes like Viper and Carnage, with the caveat being that they have to get in range. They are also good at applying crowd control in the form of Silence.I would recommend playing it as your PvP character, if you don't mind the melee range.
Grim Reaper
- Role: Melee / Assassination
- Playstyle: Assassin-style, teleport, inflicts Stun and other CC
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|
|
The Grim Reaper, despite having a really fun-looking weapon, tend to fall a little bit short of the others. They have slightly more defensive abilities than the Akasha, but that comes at the cost of some of the damage they deal.
Who is this class good for?
The Grim Reaper is not such a widely picked class, but they can work if you invest enough time to gather good gear and level up their stats. Being so heavily stat-focused, the Grim Reaper is harder to play, but if you're in a good spot, you can reap the rewards in both PvP and PvE.Viper
- Role: Magic / Curse
- Playstyle: Poison-based, AoE damage,
| Strengths | Weaknesses |

The Viper is my personal favourite. It has relatively low defensive abilities, being (the equivalent of) a Mage, but it is pretty fun to play, and you can really come back from behind if you manage to stack a lot of Poison on the enemy. They are super popular in both PvP and PvE. You just need to upgrade your gear every step of the way, especially if you plan on going PvP or bossing.
Who is this class good for?
Anyone can pick up a Viper and enjoy it - the class feels easy enough to play, and it's beginner-friendly and solid picks for experienced players. You might need to farm bosses/dungeons quite a bit to get some good gear, but once you're past that, you're in a good spot. And that's it for our Vampir best class guide!
