Upcoming iOS fighter Unstoppable Fist to deliver beatings and 1980's levels of cool
Punch drunk
A good brawling game should have three main elements: solid and simple fighting mechanics; a likeable hero; and a driving soundtrack.
Ragtag Studio’s upcoming brawler Unstoppable Fist looks like it will deliver all three with a tongue-in-cheek sense of retro style.
In Unstopptable Fist, you take control of a be-mulleted meathead from outer space who doesn’t believe in wearing socks with his loafers. Upon his arrival, otherwise benign animals are transformed into ravenous evil enemies that he must defeat with his - well - unstoppable fist.
Fists of furyThe fighting mechanics of Unstoppable Fist look to be both intuitive and simple: when an enemy flies at you from an area of the screen, you simply tap that area to watch your mullet-sporting mound of muscles punch it into nothingness.
Supporting this simple activity is a game that looks to have an impressive amount of polish and production values, as well as a great chiptune soundtrack that is to download for free on bandcamp.
Although there is no word on pricing, TouchArcade reports that Unstoppable Fist will have a June 15th release date on the App Store.
