Undead Smells Bad is a wacky upcoming take on the wave survival format
Throw those chairs!

- Undead Smells Bad is an upcoming isometric endless survivor from Sui Arts
- Take the zombie-killing fun to Italy with a variety of zany weapons
- This polished-looking indie release is still in development, but already looks like great fun
Ever since Call of Duty Zombies, the wave survival format has been a cornerstone of shooters and other genres. Be it monsters, regular enemies or the quintessential undead. Soon, you'll be able to play the part not of an elite survivor, or even a badass normal citizen, but some poor schmuck in Undead Smells Bad!
As we wrap up for the weekend, there are a few things that caught our eye during the week we can finally cover. And Undead Smells Bad is one such thing. An isometric zombie wave survivor that's set to arrive sometime soon on mobile, it's being developed by successful indie studio Sui Arts.
In it, you play the aforementioned hapless survivor with the added twist that, rather than being in America, home of self-defence weapons and baseball bats, you're in Italy. No guns here, it's just whatever you can get your hands on, and that means tables, chairs and anything not nailed down is fair game. And you certainly haven't lived until you've fought off the forces of undead by slinging an Ikea chair at them.
Well-preserved
While some indie projects coming to mobile feel quite rough around the edges (no judgment there), Undead Smells Bad has quite the polish to it. And it's still only in the relatively early stages of development. With its frantic animation and polished-looking pixel art, I've no doubt that this'll be one to watch. Although the fact that Sui Arts is Italian means we may be waiting a while for an official English translation. But when it does arrive, I've no doubt there'll be plenty of you leaping into action to bash those zombies' brains out.
