Ultimate Sackboy, Exient's arcade runner starring LittleBigPlanet's protagonist, is now available for iOS and Android
Following the announcement late last month, Exient's Ultimate Sackboy is now available for iOS and Android. It sees LittleBigPlanet's protagonist participating in an arcade running tournament, where the aim is to rack up as high a score as possible within the time limit.
Played from a portrait perspective, Ultimate Sackboy uses the familiar runner setup. You will need to jump, slide, and switch lanes to dodge obstacles, avoid pitfalls and tackle enemies. But it's not simply about surviving for as long as possible.
In this game, each run has a limited amount of time for you to rack up the highest score you can. That means you will need to collect bubbles to boost your score, taking riskier paths to snag different coloured variants that are worth more points.
If you manage to top the leaderboard for a specific run, you will earn a bag containing numerous rewards you can use to customise Sackboy. On top of that, you can upgrade these items to increase the points you earn for each bubble collected.
As you might expect from the genre, Ultimate Sackboy will have several daily missions to beat to earn additional rewards alongside a battle pass-style feature. Here it's called Marathon, and you can unlock extra rewards by completing daily missions.
There are free and paid tracks on the season pass, with those opting to buy in obviously snagging more rewards throughout the season. The Season 1 Pass includes the Astronaut costume, which is an outfit that is historically only given to early players in previous LittleBigPlanet games. Each season runs for 28 days, meaning Season 2 will kick off on March 22nd.
