Miniclip's Ultimate Hunting soft launches for iOS and Android, letting you endanger species on the go
It's time to show the animal kingdom who the real apex predator is

A few months after their first flurry of new games, Miniclip has brought another title to the fray with Ultimate Hunting. Out now in soft launch for iOS and Android, you can get your hands on Ultimate Hunting in Indonesia and the Philippines, if you've been craving the opportunity to show those damn endangered species why humanity is top of the food chain.
As you might've guessed, Ultimate Hunting is about big-game hunting. Wielding a scoped hunting rifle, you'll aim to take down a variety of prey with one clean shot, upgrading your equipment and utilising power-ups to increase your efficiency. The game also promises 1v1 multiplayer battles to see who's the greatest hunter, as well as tournaments and themed events.
Interestingly, the game is also designed to be used in portrait mode, not landscape like most other shooting games. Although some hunting-simulation purists may balk at the more arcadey aspects, it's certainly an interesting new title to emerge from the 8-Ball Pool developer.
A little while ago I wrote about Miniclip's sudden surge of game releases. It may be a surprise to some of you, but the humble flash game site we all know and love has now grown into one of the biggest mobile game companies on the planet. But, to my knowledge, that's mainly fuelled by a few small successes. No surprise then that Ultimate Hunting seems to be a part of the same glut of new titles that Miniclip has already released.
