Ultimate ADOM brings classic roguelike challenge to iOS, Android, Switch, and Steam next year

First released in 1994, Ancient Domains of Mystery (aka ADOM) was a classic ASCII roguelike in the vein of games such as Nethack and Brogue. Now, the visually-upgraded and expanded version Ultimate ADOM is coming to consoles and mobile in 2018.

Choosing from a vast spectrum of classes, races, and professions (dwarves, trolls, assassins, duelists to name a few), you explore a procedurally-generated world, filled with towns, dungeons, ruins, and other locations. Using the many skills and powers at your disposal, you wield weapons and magic to follow the game's story or just to survive its dangerous landscape.

Along with new graphics, the upcoming Ultimate version will offer you even more ways to tackle problems and enemies, from possession and cloning to altering your limbs and granting sentience to objects.

Ultimate ADOM is slated to release on iOS, Android, Switch, Steam, and other consoles in late 2018. You can currently play ADOM on Steam.
