Out now: Hand-drawn adventure The Whispered World leaps from PC to iPad

Daedalic has released its hand-drawn point-and-click adventure game The Whispered World for iPad.

The game was originally made for PC and released back in 2009. So, of course, it's had a bit of a rejig for this iPad version.

That includes new touch controls so you can tap away through the game's wonderful forests and fantastical locales.

It follows a clown called Sadwick who suffers from nightmares about the world ending. Turns out he's the one playing the part of doombringer in these scenarios.

And so Sadwick leaves his family behind at the circus while he and his pet caterpillar Spot head out into the world to stop everything turning disastrously wrong.

Note that the game won't run on anything less recent than the iPad 4 or iPad Mini 2.
