The Sims 3 to embark on World Adventures early next year
Exotic expansion builds on award-winning iPhone game
Hidden deep within an announcement regarding the PC game, Electronic Arts let it slip that work is being done to bring The Sims 3: World Adventures to iPhone, iPod Touch, and other mobile handsets.
The expansion pack is being worked into what we presume is a standalone title promising expeditions to exotic locales in China, France, and Egypt. Visiting these destinations will open up new activities for your Sims including martial arts, cultural landmarks, and even excursions into ancient ruins.
Along with the new locations, the game adds new Sims personalities, skills, items, and other goodies. No word on features specific to the iPhone version, though EA Mobile states the game will pack "customized mobile gameplay features."
It's not clear if World Adventures will be released as a standalone title (as we predict) or will require the original The Sims 3 game to play.
Look for more information to trickle out as we inch toward the game's early 2010 release.
